Teaching diving is a passion and while teaching entry level diving is fun and rewarding, teaching specialty courses is essential to maintain a high level of customer services by providing them with different ways to explore diving activities.

In today’s competitive world, you must be able to teach PADI specialty.

During the specialty instructor training courses you will

  • Learn how to demonstrate the skills related to each specialty.
  • Learn how to conduct each specialty
  • Go over the specific teaching standards for each specialty courses
  • Learn how to market for your specialty training courses
  • Conduct a classroom presentation for specialty training

Course prerequisites for all specialties except Nitrox, O2 Provider
  • Be a PADI instructor
Course prerequisites for Nitrox
  • Be a PADI instructor
  • Be certified as a PADI Enriched Air Diver or hold another qualifying certification (this means trained in the procedures and use of enriched air “nitrox” for no-decompression diving with blends of up to 40 percent oxygen).
Course prerequisites for O2 Provider
  • Be a PADI Divemaster
  • Be a current Emergency Oxygen Provider (not older than 24 months).
Course prerequisites for Digital UW photographer
  • Be a PADI Divemaster
