During the course, you will be engaged in Classroom activities, confined and open water sessions. The average time you will spend in total is about 80 to 90 hours over the ten days of the course; you will attend classroom presentations from the Course Director or the staff instructor, and you will present a minimum of 9 presentations including classroom, confined water and open water.

Will I have the evening free or I will have some stuff to do at night?

Sometimes you will get some free nights which you can use for relaxing but typically candidates tend to use the time to prepare the next presentations.

How about transportation during the course?

There is transportation available during the course from Hurghada to El Gouna and back.

How long I need to prepare myself for the IDC?

In general you need to start to get ready for the IDC approximately 2 weeks before the start date of the course, but this is subject to how sharp you are with the skills and knowledge needed for the course. So if it has been a while since you have reviewed the 5 topics of the theory and the skill demonstrations, we advice a longer period of preparation.

If I need help with preparation, is it possible to get this prior the IDC program?

Yes – two days before the IDC we organize an IDC prep course where we go over the 5 topics where we go over points that need more work, plus skill demonstration reviews in confined water.

In what language the course will be conducted?

Our course director teaches in English, French and Arabic, generally the IDC curriculum will be presented in English with support in Arabic and French if needed.

Shall you need to take the IDC curriculum in Arabic or French, Just let us know in advance so we can arrange for the logistics.

Do I have to carry all my materials everyday back with me?

No – you can leave your materials in the classroom at the end of the day and take only what you need to work within this evening.
