The OWSI introduces you to the entire PADI System and focuses on developing your abilities as a professional dive educator and develop the skills needed for the PADI instructor to be successful.
You can enroll into this program after completing the PADI assistant instructor course, or if you are an instructor from another training agency and would like to become a PADI instructor.

During this course you will
- Have a closer look at each PADI program and understand its philosophy and goals.
- Practice teaching in classroom and conduct an effective teaching presentation.
- Gain additional experience in conducting confined water and open water teaching presentations.
- Get prepared for the instructor examination.
- Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or hold a leadership level certification from another organization.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Submit a Medical Statement as fit for diving not older than 12 months.
- Have been a certified diver for at least six months
- Have completed and logged at least 60 open water scuba dive and have documentation of experience in deep, night and navigation diving.
- Be an EFRI instructor or have a qualifying certification from another training agency.
- Submit proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months.
- Submit documentation of qualifying certification for (Entry level, AOW or equivalent, rescue diver, CPR training, Leadership level).
