The Instructor Development Course is the combination of the AI and OWSI program.
It is the most comprehensive instructor training program in the diving industry. You get to learn the skills and knowledge needed to become a professional educator.
This is a learning process and you get out from the course what you put into it.
During the IDC course you will
- Refine your demonstration skills
- Learn how to conduct Confined water and open water sessions
- Learn how to conduct academic sessions
- How to use your instructor manual effectively
- Have a closer look at each PADI program and understand their philosophy and goals.
- Get prepared for the PADI instructor examination
- Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or hold a leadership level certification from another organization.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Submit a Medical Statement as fit for diving not older than 12 months.
- Have been a certified diver for at least six months
- Have completed and logged at least 60 open water scuba dives and have documentation of experience in deep, night and navigation diving.
- Be an EFRI instructor or have a qualifying certification from another training agency.
- Submit proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months.
- Submit documentation of qualifying certification for (Entry level, AOW or equivalent, rescue diver, CPR training, Leadership level).
